I was in my home and native land, Canada, last week. Being in my motherland inspired me to do a shout out to my country.
I had a kickin' Canada theme planned in my head. But, as my faithful blog readers know, our long weekend was capped with a trip to the ER on Monday for throat surgery. And, my faithful few know I started home school yesterday. I hope this week's final result doesn't disappoint too much!
We stood, and sang 'O Canada' - Wearing Red
(Motor Mouth knows most of the words!!!)
Canadian Flag
Money, money, money!
Speaking of money...
My brother's book on building wealth
Canada Dry Ginger Ale and
Tonic Water (for Daddy)
Shreddies Cereal - Can't buy it south of the border!!
My favorite cereal!!
George's mommy, if you had not bailed, I would have made
this Shepherd's Pie.
Dessert: Candy Apples
Candy Apples are uniquely Canadian.
(I made these babies at home)
Cereal for dinner - the kids LOVED it!
Guest of Honor: Wayne Gretzky
I accidently married a man who didn't know who Wayne Gretzky is.
I'm surprised my Canadian citizenship wasn't revoked for that!

Ha ha ha! I love that the "Great One" was your guest of honour (with his picture stuck onto the Teddy Bear's face)!

Great theme. Loved the guest of honour. I didn't know your brother wrote a book. That's very cool!
Hang on - you can't buy Shreddies in the US?? WHAAAT??
The only things you were missing were some Bryan Adams, ketchup chips and good beer.
I KNOW!! I even had Tim Horton's coffee in my cupboard and FORGOT to bring it out. Nothing says Canada like some Timmy's!!
