Kriti Festival 2009

My dear friend, MAM, is the founder and director of a DesiLit. As a result of MAM's involvement, I have been helping out with DesiLit since last fall. DesiLit works to build support for South Asian and diaspora writers. 

I am excited about the biennial Kriti Festival, sponsored by DesiLit, being held in Chicago June 11th - 14th!! I'm the assistant director of this year's Kriti Festival (official sounding title, isn't it?!). It is so fun meeting new people in Chicago as we plan the Festival and I am looking forward to meeting the many talented and accomplished Asian and South Asian writers, dancers, and performers who will be featured during the Festival.
