Reuniting with an old friend

First, I need to tell you, our phone does NOT work. Arrrrggh! Darius came back and the phone worked for a bit. Then, after he left, it stopped working. J called the supervisor guy again. I guess we'll try again tomorrow. I am just tired of being in the house all day, waiting for a service man to come by. I'm getting cabin fever.

We picked up our mail on our way out this evening. To put salt in our wounds, we received a $250 bill from Comcast. I'm not even going to talk about the $100 deposit they took from our bank account without clarifying that it would be taken out immediately. J was told it would be billed in our first bill.

Well, it was billed in our first bill. Comcast billed us TWICE for the deposit - making it actually $350 total. And, they billed us for installation. The problem with that is, J was told installation was free. Installation has been an utter nightmare and now they are billing us for it. WTH!!! J will call on Tuesday and work it out.

This evening, we soothed our wounded souls with a dear friend. Wal-Mart. It was so wonderful to walk the familiar aisles and see the items we know and love. J was so excited when he saw the apple juice we normally buy, he put 4 in our basket!! The apple juice was almost half the price of what we are now paying at Dominick's!! For our non-Chicagoans, Dominic's is a grocery store, like the nicer Albertson's. I never thought I would be so happy to see a Wal-Mart. It wasn't a Supercenter, but it was still wonderful.
