This is my last post as Widney Woman.
I have loved being a Widney Woman for almost sixteen years. Our Widney Wednesdays were a big hit in Canada and the U.S. I've tried to instill a sense of Widney Pride our children. If I had a dollar for every time I have said to our children that "You are Widney. Widneys are strong (insert: brave, hardworking, honest, etc.)" or "You are a Chicago Widney. Chicago Widneys do not lie (insert: cheat, steal, etc.)"
J and I had a really wonderful run but the fairytale marriage has ended. Our friendship brought us through so many extremely painful times. J and I thought that we would be an old, married couple together. Sometimes things don't turn out the way you thought they would. I don't see our marriage as a failure. We had a really great marriage with lots of love and laughter and silliness and antics and adventure. We created a happy and loving home environment for ourselves and our children. There was seldom a dull moment in Widney House, Widney Loft, or Widney Crib.
I'm so thankful for our marriage. We loved each other very much. I learned a lot. I was proud to be J's wife and proud to be a Widney Woman. It was the time of my life and I smile because it happened.
Thank you for visiting with us on the journey this blog travelled. It has been such fun to share our lives with you. Enjoy your life. Live happy. We only get one chance at this life. Make it count.
